Dr. Surya Narayan Padhi is a Professor and Group More Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KL Deemed to be University, India. He possesses more than 25 years of teaching, research, and academic administration experience. His research interests include functionally graded materials, composite materials, thin-film coatings, thermal barrier coatings, advanced manufacturing, and materials engineering. He has published numerous research papers in reputed international journals and has guided undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral research projects. He has served in various academic leadership positions including Principal, Professor, and Research Group Head. His current research focuses on advanced materials for aerospace, biomedical, and energy applications.

He received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Agricultural, Computational and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Health, Engineering, and Sciences, University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2020. His current research interests are public-key algorithms, networks and communications security, WSN security, access control policies, authorising users in electronic health record (EHR), electronic medical record (EMR), and both security, the efficiency of the wireless sensor network of health systems and keys exchange/agreement algorithms in protecting patients’ data/information.
