My Biography

Prof. Alok Sharma is currently working in Bhilai More institute of Technology which is a college of repute in central India. He also remained the Head of Department in previous Institution. He joined the education field after completing his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Raipur (now NIT, Raipur) and M.E. in Production Engg. and has recently submitted his PhD thesis. During his long experience of 27 years in teaching he had taught various subjects of Mechanical Engg. and has guided more then 35 M.Tech. researches. He authored various research paper published in National and International Journals and had bagged 3 patents. .He is also an In-charge /member of various cells in the institute and university. He has also contributed for establishment of several laboratories, drafting the new NEP syllabus of Mechanical Engg. and Mechatronics Engg., developing new teaching learning methods and laboratory manuals.

Hello everyone, I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
