My Biography

Dr. Jai Gopal Gupta, currently serving as More Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering here at NIT Sikkim and hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur 2016, an M. Tech. in Non-Ferrous Metallurgy from MNIT Jaipur 2004, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from CTAE, MPUAT Udaipur 2001. Having over 20 years of experience including teaching, research, and administrative roles. Prior to joining NIT Sikkim in March 2023, served as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department at Govt. Women Engineering College, Ajmer for over 15 years from 2007 to 2023. He has also worked as a Senior Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Engineering College Jaipur from July 2004 to September 2007. His primary research focuses on IC engines, alternative fuels, emissions control, and renewable energy resources. I have published extensively in high-impact international journals, including Progress in Energy and Combustion Science (IF: 35.34), Applied Energy (IF: 11.45), Energy Conversion and Management (IF: 11.53), and Wear with over 1300 citations. Dr Gupta has co-edited three research books and authored six book chapters published by Springer. Dr Gupta gained international exposure through the INDO-Korea Research Internship at Hanyang University, Seoul funded by DST India and NRF South Korea. Also, by presenting papers in international conferences such as SAE conference at Detroit, USA and ASME conference at Indiana, USA.

In our presents the studies related to the green synthesis of nano-HAP powders using wet-chemical Read More precipitation method with the use of different natural stabilizers at room temperature conditions. Nine natural stabilizers viz., Rice Water (RcW), Soya Milk (SM), Soya Leaves (SL), Spinach Leaves (SpL), Tea Decoction (TD), Tulsi Leaves (TL), Aloe vera (Alv), Gum Kondagogu (GKg) and Rose Petals (RP) have been used. Based on the results obtained in the present study on green chemistry synthesis of nano-HAP, after making several refinements to its synthesis (in terms of volume of Natural Stabilizer used, the type of Natural Stabilizer and temperature), the following recommendations are made for future studies. In addition to its pH, Ca/P ratio, morphology and photoluminescence studies, its application is largely dependent on the chemical activity of the Natural Stabiliser used as a precursor. Essentially the changes made to the synthesis of nano-HAP using natural extracts as Natural Stabilisers need further studies on its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. After validating the results of its bioactivity and biocompatibility, an inference can be drawn about proposing it as a nano-HAP material for bone implant and dental filling materials. In the present study, in-vitro tests have been carried out using nano-HAP powders stabilised by Soya Milk, Rice Water, Soya Leaves and Spinach Leaves. In near future, the in-vivo study is recommended to look for the toxicity and possible side effects in living beings.

Justice is a service open to the public. It is thus arranged, like any structure that renders public Read More service, in a manner that whoever seeks for it receives appropriate attention. The setting up and organization of judicial institutions is premised on the fore said. The classification of the judicial system in Cameroon is shrouded with a bleak and opaque view that one tends to ponder on the clear cut strata for the administration of justice in Cameroon. Litigants sometimes find difficulties in identifying which court is competent to handle their matters in the face of complaints. More so, the fact that certain courts preclude the ordinary man from bringing an action makes the whole scenario more cumbersome for a common man to comprehend. Judicial and administrative authorities need to be guided on the nature of cases entertained as well as be acquainted with the competent courts to seize for such matters. The paper I am working on tackles these issues.
