My Biography

Dr. Nitin Shankarrao Shrirao is an experienced More academician with a strong background in Computer Applications and over 21 years of cumulative teaching experience. He currently holds the In-Charge Director at Siddhant Institute of Computer Application, affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). He holds a M.C.A. in Engineering & Technology, and Ph.D in Privacy- Preserving Cyber Security showcasing both managerial and technical academic foundations. Over the years, he has served in various significant roles such as Assistant Professor, HOD, and In-Charge Director, contributing to both academic and administrative growth. Dr. Nitin S. Shrirao has taught a wide range of subjects, predominantly in the MCA program, including Operating Systems, Data Communication & Computer Networks, Advanced Internet Technology, Networking Technologies. His academic service spans multiple institutions under SPPU and SGBAU. He has an active academic and research profile with multiple journal publications (2026) focused on Digital Marketing, Social Media, Customer Relationship Management, and IT trends, alongside contributions to books published by Success Publications (2016). He has also authored several patent-based works, including topics such as SCRUM & JIRA, Visible Light Communication, and Machine Learning applications. Hello everyone, I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
